Current Homework

Have a great long weekend. Remember, Tuesday, May 22nd is a Pro-D day, so there is no school. 

Current Projects

French:

Math:

  • Board Game
  1. Must hand in your geometric shapes, either on the board or separately.
  2. Must include a chess/checker board (can be on the back).
  3. The game will be marked for playability (for at least 2 players), challenging and original.
  4. They must be artistic – No pencil ghosts, fine-lined, bright, colourful, easy to read, interesting.
  5. Instructions must be included, either on the board or separately.
  6. You must be able to finish the game in 40 minutes or determine the winner if the game isn’t complete.
  • Math Basics A forms should be done. Be prepared to complete the actual tests over the next two weeks.

Science:

  • Project A.R.C. – Begin research on your animal. See criteria sheet for your presentation and module design. What will your animal need?

Social Studies:

  •  History Bites – Filming is complete. Techs, you should be finishing your final versions. Our film festival will be next week.

Health & Career Education (HCE):

  • No projects at this time.

Language Arts:

  • Read your e-book and be prepared to do your review.

Authorship:

  • With your editing partner, work to make your authorship project better.
  • “Perfect Page” – All students, even those creating poetry and graphic novels, must have either a portion of a larger novel or a short story available to edit.

Candy Challenges (not for marks):

  • Using Google sketch-up, create a model of Mr. T’s stool to scale.
  • Memorize the elements song.
  • Memorize Pi to 50 digits.
  • 20 x 20 Sudoku (Provide a screen shot or parent note to prove you finished)
